The Talau-Loes and Mota Masin transboundary watersheds are shared by Indonesia and Timor-Leste. For the communities living within these landscapes, healthy watersheds are essential to securing water, sustaining livelihoods, and protecting the environment for future generations.

This short documentary brings together the voices of community members, local leaders, and watershed stakeholders as they reflect on the environmental challenges they face, the actions they are taking, and the importance of collaboration in managing shared watersheds across national borders. Their stories reveal that strengthening watershed resilience begins with local action, but lasting impact depends on effective coordination, supportive governance, and shared commitment across communities, institutions, and countries.

Produced as part of the Management of Indonesia and Timor-Leste Transboundary Watersheds/Timor Island Watersheds (MITLTW/TIWA) Project, this film was created to spark dialogue to encourage knowledge exchange on how community-led initiatives can be replicated and scaled across transboundary watersheds using multi-stakeholders platform.
