Dody has long experience in building knowledge management as well as communication and media in several organizations. Dody has produced various articles on humanitarian response success story as he managed to run a biweekly newsletter called Kareba Palu Koro for around 2 years of his work in Palu, Sigi and Donggala in Central Sulawesi.

Dody is also frequently involved in disaster emergency responses and supports communication related to disasters including the preparation of Situation Reports and Newsletters. As addition, Dody has strong background in education sector as education practitioners. He graduated from the English Language Study program of Sanata Dharma University, he previously worked as lecturer in some universities in Yogyakarta and he managed an education institution in language sector in the past.
