Joint Coordination of Inovasi Tangguh Indonesia (InTI) and Conservation International Timor-Leste (CITL): Exchanging Program Progress Information and Formulating Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Objectives
Atambua, November 13, 2025 - Located at King Star Hotel Atambua, the Inovasi Tangguh Indonesia Team facilitated routine coordination between agencies assisting the implementation of the MITLTW/TIWA program.
This program coordination workshop was held for half a day from 08.00 WITA to 13.30 WITA attended by 12 people consisting of 7 CITL staff and 5 InTI staff. This workshop is special because it is also the first workshop with the presence of the Regional Program Manager of MITLTW/TIWA, Demetrio Do A De Carvalho (Deo), who recently joined the program last month.
This half-day workshop discusses several things including: exchange of information on program progress in Indonesia and Timor-Leste, identification of program challenges at the implementation level in the field, preparation of a joint database for program monitoring and evaluation and also formulating key program activities that will involve Regional Program Managers in the future.
After the workshop was settled, there would be several follow-ups to oversee the process of recruiting consultants for the preparation of Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis and also several other joint activities such as facilitating the preparation of the Indonesia-Timor-Leste Transboundary Watershed Management Joint Working Group and Community Task Force.
An important concrete follow-up is that the Conservation International database model will be shared with InTI in the future to be completed together periodically to see the program progress dashboard related to the indicators of program progress indicators by CITL to InTI and also the plan to hold a workshop specifically related to the preparation of this joint database in the near future.
"We are grateful to InTI for facilitating this routine coordination in Atambua, this workshop helps to plan joint programs in the future, we hope that routine coordination like this will continue to be held to consolidate program planning and evaluation in the future, as a Regional Manager, this workshop helps me to see the progress of programs in 2 countries as a whole," said Demetrio Do A Carvalho.
